    Become a Pilot

Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-AUS) Minimum age is 15 years to undertake first solo flight. medical required fit to a standard equivalent to that required to hold an Australian drivers licence.

TRIAL INTRODUCTORY FLIGHTS

This is where it all starts. You will be given a ground briefing by the instructor on how the plane flies, how the controls work and what to expect. From there you will prep the aircraft, jump in and leave the ground behind you. The instructor will control the aircraft to a safe manouvering height and there your first in flight lesson starts. You will handle the controls while performing basic turns, climbs and descents at the same time feeling the exhilaration of FLIGHT.

STUDENT PILOTS CERTIFICATE

RA-AUS regulations require a minimum of 20 Hours of flight training, including a minimum of 5 Hours as pilot in command i.e solo time. The actual hours taken by an individual student may vary depending upon aptitude, frequency of flying lessons etc. Written theory tests include.

PILOTS CERTIFICATE & ENDORSEMENTS

On completion and passing the exams you will receive a Pilots Certificate issued by RA-Aus.

Cross-Country Endorsement for flights, more then 25nm nautical miles from the airport you depart from. Requires a minimum of 10 hours dual with an instructor & 2hrs of pilot in command (PIC) X country flight training experience.

Radio Operator Endorsement required for operational x country flight with an aircraft VHF radio equipment. At many airports carriage of a radio is mandatory.

Passenger Endorsement required for carriage of passengers is a minimum of 10hrs as pilot in command.
